Some catching up to do....

I have a little bit of catching up to do with my blog. I upload my pics first so I am going to work backwards to this weekend. I am kinda becoming a coupon crazy lady. If anyone knows my husband they would quickly notice he is a tight wad, to say the least. Well, lately I have been surpassing him in this department. I didn't think it was possible, but my coupon obsession is taking on a life of its own. Yesterday, I cancelled our dvr on our television. I feel like I should have wrote that in bold all caps. Isn't that insane?! Who does that? This was a huge decision for me. But I cut our cable bill from $70/mo to $35! Oh, and I was just getting started there. Next home phone-cancelled! Well, cancelled with Comcast. We were paying $28/mo. Now, with AT&T we will be paying $14! Next up, internet. Old service $44/mo. Now, we have a little slower service, but our monthly bill $27! And there was one more item that needed some serious tackling, our cell phones. Our plan with Verizon $160/mo. Now we are with AT&T $80/mo. How about those apples! I am pumped. Today I also took a bunch of my old books to Half Priced Books to sale. Okay, this was disappointing. I had two large boxes plus some more and I only made $16. But I did some quick grocery shopping and came home with everything in this first pic for $17.15!! Be jealous that I have some skills with the grocery shopping. Really, I just spend ridiculous amounts of time clipping, organizing and planning. Now this pic below is everything I got for FREE!!!!! So, I am pumped. Basically I spent $1.15 while I was gone today.
I was telling my husband tonight at dinner how incredibly happy I am right now in life. I am just over the top happy. We don't have alot of money and sometimes things are very chaotic. But I love it! I just feel so blessed to have a very low maintenance hubby that is totally fine with simpler things, like grilled cheese for dinner. Tonight we had salad with fresh baby bella mushrooms and leftovers.
Today April and her kiddos came over to play. I must not have been on my A game because I neglected to take pics. But nothing really exciting happened. Mike and Mom stopped by for a little bit. We planned a girl's weekend getaway, which I was very pumped about. Then, my husband came home from work and totally shot it down. Which, now thinking about it I totally agree with him. We are very focused on paying off all our debt. We only have my car to go and that is it! Well, we have our mortgage. Which, I totally want to seriously tackle next. I know it sounds crazy, but Dave Ramsey has really gotten to me. I love that man. I know with everything in me that one day we will be completely debt free.
On Tuesday the kids and I went to April's house to play. Today is Wednesday. We took the kids to the park by April's house. It was sticky hot outside. Our time there was short lived, but it was still fun. And of course, I took lots of pics. But the pic below is Juliet at April's house. I love this pic because Juliet is carrying the car down the hallway. I was so impressed that she was strong enough to carry it. And I was kinda wondering why didn't just 'drive' it. But she is darling.

This is Jonah. He is so funny. He is wearing two head lights. He was totally cracking me up.

Okay, I just don't know what to say about this following pic. This is my niece Savanah. I am pretty sure she learned how to pose that way by watching her Daddy. Haha! This is definitely not something her Mommy would have taught her.

Here the kids are at the park. I love this pic because it shows how much the kids have grown. In the spring when we brought the kids here they would have never been able to climb the monkey bars. But look at Jacob sitting on top. I am just amazed and a little sad. They grow too fast.

Darling Juliet pretending to drive. She was really getting into it. Again, I just can't get over that she is big enough to climb up there. She is 17 months old.

Here is Braxton. He wanted in the baby swing so badly. Then he quickly discovered he had outgrown it. I told him he had to smile for the camera before I would get him down. Is that bad?

Jonah and Savanah. I love how messy Savanah's hair is in the pic. Her curls are so precious. I can't resist playing with them. But she always has her hair in her face, and that is the way she prefers. This pic is so Savanah. And I love how excited Jonah is. That is very typical of Jonah.

Okay, I took several pics of the kiddos in this tunnel and they were adorable. But this one just cracks me up. How fast things can turn for the worse? Poor Jules is getting tackled by everyone. She was crying but I had to take a quick pic.

Here is a pic of Jackson. I don't get many pics of Jackson. He is so stubborn when it comes to the camera. Well, actually that is kinda Jackson's personality now that I think about it. He is just very stubborn. He is his Daddy's son for sure. But I did manage to get this photo and I love his little sunglasses on him.

Here is my boys with their cousin.

Jonah!

Jacob and Savanah.

I took this pic on the way to April's house in the car. I accidentally uploaded the wrong pic. The pic I meant to upload had all four kids smiling at me. It was perfect. But this is cute too. Juliet has a baggy with Cheerios and Jackson is looking at me.

Monday we stayed home all day and didn't have any visitors. I don't think we did. The boys were playing in the basement in their playroom. I hate this pic. I simply took it for evidence of the things they do at times to freak me out. The boys told me they were going to take naps in these drawers. How creepy is this?! I was immediately yelling for them to get out. Okay, if you look in the bottom corner of the pic you can see Jackson is already laying in his drawer. Jonah is attempting to climb into the top drawer above the other two. Do we all see the danger in this and how freaky it is? Okay, moving on.

This was first thing in the morning. Oh, the room was still clean.

Jackson and Jacob playing.

On Sunday we had family day. It was a great day! Saturday Jeff went mudding with Mike down at Hoosier. They left early Saturday evening and came home Sunday. I had already decided that I would not be seeing Jeff on Sunday, but they came home early. I was so happy. So, we made it a day at the pool. This is the first year we are really enjoying swimming with the kids. I think we took them once last year. We have already been twice this year. Oh, this is a totally random story but the other night I actually had the privilege to go swimming completely....alone. It was amazing. I had not done that since before I had children. Jeff came in from working late and I told him I needed a minute and would be home in a hour. I went to my mom's. It was getting ready to storm. The whole time I was swimming the sky was dark and it was thundering. It was perfect. I felt so renewed when I got home. I didn't take any pics of that. But Sunday we took the kids swimming.

I am not sure why but my first pic is Jeff catching Braxton. Okay, Braxton was so funny when he jumped because he would stiffen his little body.

This is my Dad and Jacob is inside. This pic is funny because my Dad is actually in the water instead of walking on it, like he normally does. Haha! That is for you, Mom. :)

Jackson jumping into Jeff's arms. He was a crazy guy.

Here the boys are in the boat together. Jackson, look at Mom!

Here is my beautiful family getting ready to go. Juliet was taking a nap while we swam. We tried to take her swimming but she hated it. We will probably try again later sometime.

I threw this pic in. Enough with the umbrellas already. I think this was Friday night. Juliet was getting ready for bed.

That pretty much catches everything up to speed. The kids are always saying the funniest things but I can never remember them later. So, I am going to work on trying to document those things as well.
